Anxiety, Trauma, & Relationship Therapy in Columbus, OH
I work with women and young adults seeking support for anxiety, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. Virtual and In Person Sessions Available. Licensed to provide therapy across Ohio.
You’re capable and driven, but your mind won’t slow down. You replay conversations, question your decisions, and feel constant pressure to keep everything together. Work, school, relationships, and family demands leave you feeling overwhelmed and mentally drained. In therapy, we focus on coping skills and strategies to manage anxiety, reduce burnout, and restore a sense of balance and control.
Signs Anxiety Might Be Taking Over:
• Feeling constant pressure to perform or be the dependable one
• People pleasing, Struggling to say no & set boundaries
• Experiencing physical tension, chronic stress, restlessness, or racing thoughts
• Feeling guilty or anxious when trying to slow down
• Wondering why you can’t just “relax” like everyone else
Past experiences can continue to affect how you feel, react, and relate to others long after the event has passed. You may notice heightened anxiety, difficulty trusting others, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed in situations that seem hard to explain. Together, we work at a pace that feels safe to process these experiences, helping you feel more grounded, regain a sense of stability, and move forward with greater confidence.
Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of life, but they can also bring stress, miscommunication, and emotional exhaustion. You may find yourself overthinking interactions, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for keeping the peace. In therapy, we focus on strengthening communication, building healthier boundaries, and helping you navigate relationships in a way that feels more balanced and authentic.
Major life changes like starting a new job, ending a relationship, moving, or navigating new roles and responsibilities can bring uncertainty and stress. Even positive changes can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to adjust and find your footing. Therapy provides a supportive space to process these transitions, clarify what matters most to you, and develop strategies to move forward with greater confidence and direction.
Hi, I’m Emily Flores, LISW, a licensed therapist in Columbus, Ohio. I work with women and young adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, relationships, or life transitions. Many of my clients are capable, thoughtful people who put a lot of pressure on themselves and often feel responsible for holding everything together. Over time, this can lead to constant worry, tension in the body, and difficulty slowing down.
I help clients become more aware of how stress shows up in the mind and body, notice patterns of avoidance, and develop ways to respond rather than react. My approach is warm, collaborative, and guided by your goals, so you can feel safe exploring what matters most to you.
I integrate EMDR, CBT, and somatic strategies, tailoring each approach to your needs. Some clients connect best through conversation, others through mindfulness, movement, or expressive arts. Together, we find what works for you. My goal is to help you feel more calm, confident, and in control so you can engage fully in your life.
